Preparedness Training Class

PREPAREDNESS TRAINING SYSTEM

Any currently authorized Red Cross instructor who desires to be trained as an Instructor Trainer must complete Part I of the Application for Instructor Trainers. Once application is approved and Candidate must register and complete Preparedness Training.

Candidates will be complete one practice teaching assignment, attend all class sessions and lesson objectives and participate in all class activities. Come to class prepared each day to successfully complete the requirements.

  • American Red Cross Instructor Trainer Candidates Manual
  • American Red Cross Fundamentals of Instructor Training guide for Training Instructors

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS: Each student needs FIT manual, Specialty course Instructor Manual, pen, highlighter and paper.

AMERICAN RED CROSS PREREQUISITES FOR PREPAREDNESS TRAINING:

  • Complete and submit the Instructor Trainer application for your specilty course through the Health and Safety Department of the American Red Cross.
  • Receive verification from the Supervisory Committee for Approval to take the PTS class and begin your IT process. YOU MUST BE ACCEPTED INTO THE PROGRAM BEFORE YOU REGISTER FOR PREPAREDNESS TRAINING
