Babysitter's Training Courses

What you need to know and what every parent wants in a responsible babysitter!

We use the latest materials and information from the American Red Cross, which was released in 2011. Designed for 11 to 15 year olds, the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course can help you:

Interview for a babysitting job
Choose safe and age-appropriate toys and games
Perform first aid
Recognize and care for choking emergencies for infants and children
Recognize when to call 911
Learn about life threatening emergencies and how to get help
Learn diapering and feeding techniques
Handle bedtime issues
Learn tips for having a safe babysitting experience
How to care for choking and breathing emergencies
CPR demonstration and practice are included in class, but formal certification in CPR is not.

Cost- $65.00-$75.00 per person (depends on location). Includes books and certificate.

If you are interested in hosting a Babysitter's Training class at your location, please contact our Director of Safety and Training. Minimum students 8, cost is $80.00 per person. We would be happy to make arrangements.

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS: Each student needs to bring to class a lunch, drinks and a pen or pencil.

We also offer Babysitting classes down in First Colony in Sugar Land. They do the registration and take payment for the classes offered there. Please call 281-634-9500 to register and get details about dates and times.

GHPM reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment. Minimum enrollment required: 8 students

Only participating students are allowed in the classroom during class times. Parents and guests are asked to leave or remain outside the classroom. Please return at least 15 minutes before the end of class to pick up your child.

Payment Guidelines

Cancellations

Cancellations made one (1) week prior to the first day of class will receive a refund less a $10.00 non-refundable administrative fee.

No refunds will be issued if you do not give notice that you are unable to attend the class.

All cancellations must be made via email to the Director of Safety and Training.

Credit card and paypal payments will be credited back to the same card. Cash and check payments will be refunded by check, and will take approximately four (4) weeks to process. No cash refunds will be issued.
